There Were Times When I Wished You Were Dead Summary
The Emperor of Croisen hates Empress Yvonne. Enough that he’s wishing for her to disappear three times a day.
I don’t like the face of someone who looks just like the Duke of Delois, my enemy. No matter how much I insult her, her indifferent and aloof character stays the same, which makes me feel even more terrible.
I don’t care whether or not she disappears or dies. I was fine with anything as long as I don’t see her face.
The wish comes true.MU
When he no longer wishes for it to happen.
There Were Times When I Wished You Were Dead is quite an upsetting story. The two main characters are hating and loving each other.
The female lead is quite timid, not doing a lot as the empress. Whereas the male lead, the emperor, is an @sshole. I do understand where he’s coming from, considering his past.
However, taking it out on the female lead is definitely not alright.
I quite like the other female character in the story, since she seems to be rational and calling out the emperor on his behaviour.
There’s not a lot of chapters available and it’s not licensed yet, which is sad.
I do think the story is interesting and the art is also pretty good, so I’m hoping it becomes licensed soon.
As for the art, it’s also pretty good and I’m liking how it’s drawn. The main couple do look good together, but I fear they’re not going to be good for each other.
I saw complaints about the toxic relationship, and for me that’s just a way to tell a story.
Not all relationships are good or ideal, if they were, we wouldn’t have any stories. So get your head out of the gutter and learn to enjoy a story for what it is.
Final thoughts: Definitely think you should check this one out! It seems to be quite good and interesting, with a lot of background information.
