Princess Wei Yang is quite interestingly drawn, but features a very dramatic plot. If you dislike “historical” manhua comics, you probably won’t like this one.

Princess Wei Yang Summary
A young lady of the prime minister family, enduring for 8 years. Finally, at one day she was bestowed empress, Phoenix of the country! But life is unpredictable.
Her husband loved her stepsister, deposed her as Empress and even forced her son into death. In that Cold Palace, she was forced to drink poisonous wine.
So in the next lifetime, she made a promise to never do good deeds and help others, to never step into the palace and to never become the Empress!MU
Princess Wei Yang starts out interesting, despite the time travel aspect.
The female lead reminds me slightly of “A Beauty, A Fatal Concubine“, which is something I quite like.
The art of Wei Yang is a bit… awkward and not the greatest. It’s sometimes quite good and other times it’s very clear it’s not done in a great manner.
I quite like the female lead’s determination to change her fate. It’s clear she’s been suffering due to her sister and previous husband.
All the people she’s meeting are just.. awful people. The author is really pushing the idea of her being a poor female lead, gaining her strength from reliving her life.
She knows she can’t beat them straight out, so she’s using her brain to get back on them. If you like smarter female leads, then this might be a good one.
Final thoughts: I quite like this story, surprisingly enough. I thought I’d hate it but I quite enjoy reading about her revenge.
