Villains Are Destined To Die Summary
This game’s got me obsessed! It’s like it’s taken over my life… wait—HARD MODE ACTIVATED.
No-no-no-no-no! It has literally taken me and thrown me into the part of Penelope Eckhart.
Love is easy as the heroine, but as the hated villainess, I’m trying very hard not to die… at the hands of my brothers… the prince… a fork… every possible ending is death!
This world is stacked against me, but can my wits and insider game knowledge score the affection of these male characters? Or the reset button??MU
Villains Are Destined To Die is an angsty manhwa series, featuring Penelope and her struggle surviving.
She’s an adopted daughter, placed as a “replacement” for the duke’s missing daughter Yvonne.
This story is very heavy on feelings, which makes it difficult to read occasionally. The male characters, regardless if they’re love interests or not, have power over Penelope. She’s stuck in the world, doing what they want and ending up close to death all the time.
However, as she breaks free from the game constraints she ends up taking life in her own hands. She’s not ready to live as a pushover and starts staking her claims to her own life.
It’s clear the feelings of her brothers and father are very difficult to understand.
She’s not hated by them, but their love for her is difficult to understand, too.
The story is a bit slow in the beginning and feels like any other isekai story, but it does get better the more you read. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely interesting enough to check out if you haven’t already.
Despite some angsty moments, the story does have humorous moments and Penelope is quite funny sometimes. Her humour is quite dry and I enjoy seeing that.
I quite like the art, too. It’s very different from most styles that I’ve seen, but it’s still really pretty.
Final thoughts: Definitely worth reading if you like isekai stories with a deep, tragic backstory.
