I’m not sure I like “Things I Don’t Know About You”. It’s an interesting story but something feels off about the tone of it.

Things I Don’t Know About You
Drama script writer aspirant Lucky breaks up with her long-term boyfriend Terry after learning that he had been dream dating with her social club member Mallory.
Despite her ex-boyfriend’s warning that she’ll “regret this”, she goes back to her normal life.
But days later… a detective shows up to tell Lucky that Terry and Mallory were found dead in a motel room together while the police thinks it was a group suicide.
In the midst of such complications, unimaginable things begin to unfold…Anime-Planet
Things I Don’t Know About You starts out normally enough, with a couple breaking up. The boyfriend seemingly cheats on the girlfriend.
We don’t quite know what has happened between them, but flashbacks start showing that soon.
As we’re exploring the past and present, we realize Lucky actually doesn’t know a lot about her ex-boyfriend. It’s sad to realize this once he’s dead, I suppose. We’re also being told our love rival, Mallory, also had a broken home environment.
It’s very possible he seek out Mallory since she can understand him better than anyone else. Yet, despite that, I can’t wrap my head around the relationship between Terry and Lucky. As for Lucky, I suppose she may have loved her boyfriend but all the cheating made her fed up with him.
It didn’t seem like Lucky even loves Terry in the past, which is very odd. You’d think they’d have some happy days but she seems very numb.
Due to this, I’m not sure what I feel about our female protagonist. Do I sympathies with her or do I feel like she could have done more? A bit of both, I suppose.
Overall I feel like I didn’t get a good enough grip about the series before the free chapters end. It’s clear something is wrong, but the question is just exactly what..
Recommendation: Worth checking out, but not sure how I feel about this story. Think you need to read at least 10 or more chapters to fully get into it.
