She Would Never Know is a typical romance story set in an office. I quite like the story, although we’re seeing re-hashed tropes.

Summary of She Would Never Know from Webtoon.
Gentle in demeanour yet fiercely independent and competent, Songa is a top assistant brand manager at Klar Cosmetics who gets things done with a smile.
Thriving in life, she is suddenly caught off guard by her charming junior colleague’s enigmatic warning, “Don’t put on that lipstick.”
Then an unexpected revelation changes everything.
Apparently “She Would Never Know” also has a drama, which is pretty darn cool. Even if that’s nice, I must say the plot is feeling very basic so far. We have the typical office romance turned into a cheating drama. It doesn’t seem anything special so far.
We also have another employee yearning for the heart of his “seonbae”. Eventually he proposes his seonbae/senior should get revenge on her cheating boyfriend by dating him, as in dating the junior.
Although this may be a good idea in a comic, it does feel like he’s trying to get closer to her. I interpret this as him just having selfish motivations behind his actions.
I do appreciate the relative realism we see in the story. The junior’s logic makes perfect sense when he’s thinking about how to tell Songa about the affair. He goes through four very real scenarios that could happen, from her becoming upset to potentially knowing about the affair.
He’s unsure which one he prefers and I can totally understand what he means.
I have a sneaking suspicion Songa’s cheating boyfriend is using his fiancée for a promotion or something. It seems he actually loves Songa and cares for her. He notices she’s feeling upset and even comes outside her house to check on her. Yet, I do think his way of going about everything is just poor.
So far I can’t obviously judge this story too harshly. I’m not going to lie, I am liking the story and I will continue reading it. The art is looking pretty nice, too. It has a distinctive look to it, and I really like that.
Recommendation: Give it a go, it’s worth checking it out.
