One Thing I Can’t Say [First Impression]

“One Thing I Can’t Say” is a super cute fluff story – typical childhood turn romance. I think this one has a lot of potential.

Summary of One Thing I Can’t Say

Glen has feelings for his childhood friend, Nikki, but cannot tell her because they promised to stay friends forever. Giving up on having a romantic relationship with her, Glen decided to be happy just by staying by her side.

But, though slowly, their friendship is changing.

One Thing I Can't Say

The chapters are unfortunately very short, although we get a lot content in the short span. Our two main characters are childhood friends and are seemingly very close to each other.

I’m curious if the female lead will think of him as a guy, without any issues, or if it’s going to be one of those typical love stories. What I mean is that the female or male can’t see the other one as a member of the opposite sex. I suppose time will tell with this story.

The art is pretty cute, too. It reminds me of traditional Japanese manga, including the “dotted” background. I can’t remember what it’s called but you’ll probably recognize it if you see it.

So far we’ve only got 4 chapters so it’s definitely not a series that is updated regularly. I still find it very cute and charming. If you want to read something that’s involving school kids, Day By Day is available. We also have Chinese manhua Heartbeat Plan, which is also very cute.

Recommendation: Worth a read if you’re bored and want some sweet romance.
