My Place is a fantasy story, where the female lead poisons her brother to evade an arranged marriage. A prince will come save her, probably.

My Place starts out with the female lead wanting to marry someone who isn’t going to abuse her.
She really just wants to have a good life, without being forced to become a concubine or fight for her survival.
During some banquet, she sneaks away and meets an imperial prince. They share a kiss and it’s clear the prince is falling in love with her, most likely.
However, the female lead is hoping her brother will be marrying her to a decent man. She’s feeling betrayed when she finds out he’s making her marry the imperial emperor – a man who kills women left and right.

Needless to say, she’s quite upset and feeling betrayed. She ends up poisoning her brother and thus being sent to prison.
However, she definitely wants to live but with the choice of dying and marrying the emperor, she chooses death.
I was feeling slightly impressed with her poisoning, but she felt a bit stupid just staying in the place. It wasn’t thought out, but rather quite impulsive. It’s a pity, as I was rooting for her.
As for the art, it’s not bad but it reminds me a bit about older styled manhwa/manga series.
Final thoughts: Overall, the story seems to be decent but I’m not 100% sold on it yet.
