Who Made Me a Princess Summary
The beautiful Athanasia was killed at the hands of her own biological father, Claude de Alger Obelia, the cold-blooded emperor! It’s just a silly bedtime story… until one woman wakes up to suddenly find she’s become that unfortunate princess!
She needs a plan to survive her doomed fate, and time is running out.
Will she go with Plan A, live as quietly as possible without being noticed by the infamous emperor?
Plan B, collect enough money to escape the palace?
Or will she be stuck with plan C, sweet-talking her way into her father’s good graces?!MU
This story is well-known, for a good reason. The first season is really good, focusing on Athy and her relationship with her father, Claude. You see, Athy was originally going to die by his hands. Due to her knowledge of the world and charm, she manages to weasel her way into her father’s heart.
As she is growing up, we see the familial love developing between them. Only for it to shatter with the introduction of another player. The peace can’t be kept for too long, after all.
Of course, I won’t spoil all of the story for you. But it’s quite intricate with both magic and curses existing in the world. It’s not a simple story, but definitely fleshed out to the maximum.
The story is like I said very intricate, with many events happening in the past which are affecting the current story. For instance, the reason Claude originally hated Athy has to do with her mother. We slowly start to find out more about it, which is quite a tragic tale.
We also have a character named Lucas, who is a magician. I’m not exactly sure, but I have a feeling they, Athy and Lucas, are the main couple.
It doesn’t seem like Athy is too bothered by the fact he’s like 200+ years. I suppose age is just a number in this case.
Having read the story chapter by chapter, it’s very easy to forget some parts of the story. There’s just so much information being given to us, it’s almost impossible to keep it in your head. But don’t worry too much, there’s wiki articles about the series! So you can always freshen up on your knowledge when need be.
One thing that makes this series stand out is the art, especially the eyes. Athy and Claude’s eyes are just breathtakingly beautiful. It’s like staring into an ocean and a trait belonging to the royal family.
If you’re looking for major romance, you might not like this story too much. It really is mostly about Athy’s and Claude’s relationship, although there’s definitely some romance intertwined.
Recommendation: Definitely give the manhwa a try! It’s worth the time to read it.
