“Just Leave Me Be” is both a sad story, but also an empowering one. All these adoptive families seriously suck.

Just Leave Me Be reminds me a lot about “The Fantasie Of A Stepmother”. Both of these characters met their untimely demise at the hands of others, in a similar fashion.
They were ridiculed by many and they were given a chance to turn back time. That’s about where the similarities really end, but both are good stories.

Adele was a hapless orphan until a duke gave her a choice: live as a substitute for his dead daughter, or die on the streets.
Despite playing this role to the best of her ability, an order for her assassination was given shortly after he married her off.
Miraculously, she is sent back in time and decides to make up for the years wasted living a lie.
As ancient ruins call to her, can she use her past knowledge and unexpected help from the Black Knight to defeat the dangers ahead and change fate? – Tapas
I love the fact Adele quickly catches on and stops trying to please her family. She’s fed up with that and she won’t bother with it. Yet, she’s not stupid enough to flip the finger without having a backup plan.
The art is very gorgeous as well. It’s odd to see a character with green hair, but I quite found it adorable on Adele. The male lead is also very cute. He reminds me of Skip Beats!’s Ren, so that’s a plus.
The male lead, Hexion, may seem like an evil person but he’s actually very sweet to our female lead. He’s definitely not approving of her situation, but she’s initially hesitant to his advances.
I absolutely love this story. It’s very complex and there’s some people in it I want to push down a mountain. The manhwa manages to really stir up your feelings and hate for these families.
Recommendation: YES, a must read.
