If you’re looking for a sweet and cute story, you’re only partially in the right.
Yohan starts out as a depraved teenage boy, ready to do anything for his crush Dajeong.
As the story progresses, there’s a shift in dynamics between Yohan and Dajeong. Things have to get worse before they get better, after all.
I never read this story in one go, since it got a bit too nerve-wrecking for me. I took a break and decided to pick up quite recently. The sharp contrast between Yohan and the emotional growth is incredible. It’s occasionally a bit boring or slow, but it does pick up as you come along in the story.
Yohan is not a bad kid, but he’s suffering because of some sick peoples schemes. There’s a huge mystery surrounding him, so I can’t really write too much about it without spoiling it.
There’s several theories relating to the series, one being nurture vs nature. Can someone completely unrelated to another person develop strong protective feelings towards the person?
I can’t write too much about the series, since I don’t want to spoil it.
However, Dajeong is no princess in need of rescuing. She’s psychically strong and agile, capable of kicking ass if need be.
Yohan is also pretty physically strong, although he often uses his body to cause distractions. As in, he gets beaten up and suffers to gain information rather than fight back.
This just shows how calculating Yohan really is and how deep his feelings for Dajeong really runs. Whatever those feelings are, is up for debate.
Recommendation: If you want a story where our hero is forcing himself to the extremes to protect a random person, this is for you.
