Forever And Ever Summary

It’s Fall of their senior year in middle school. Due to her parents’s divorce, an emptiness has settled at the bottom of Azusa’s heart.

Her classmate, Itsuki, experiences the same with his parents’ divorce and sees through Azusa’s feelings.

Sharing this “something,” the two of them promise to be together for the rest of their lives despite all the changes happening around them.

What is a bond that lasts forever? What is a real bond like?

This is a story of how the two of them move forward while in doubt and fumbling around for answers.

Forever And Ever [First Impression]
The story seems to be quite mature and interesting, with focus lying on the children as parents go through divorce.

The first family, belonging to Azusa, is quite open with the fact they’re going to divorce.

Our female protagonist takes it with ease, probably having sensed something wrong for quite some time. Her brother takes it more poorly, not understanding why it’s happening.

Even the way things are handled afterward is interesting. Azusa feels numb, like life has no meaning after her parents split. It’s clear she’s suffering quite a bit, but not having an outlet for your feelings makes it hard to go on.

Forever And Ever [First Impression]
She’s reminded of the divorce when her classmate makes an announcement, stating he’s going under a different name now.

His parents, or mother I guess, even prepares a note to hand to the teachers. Azusa’s mother does nothing like that, just letting life go on like nothing happens.

I was unable to read further, but the plot seems very interesting so far. If you like more real life scenarios in your comics, this could be a good one for you.

I’m not sure what promise Azusa and Itsuki will make, but I’m curious about it and what it will mean for the series. And their relationship, since it seems they’re going to focus on more intimate parts of the relationship as well.

Recommendation: Give it a read if you like more mature stories with an interesting plot. I’m not sure what I can expect, but I think I’m going to give it a go, too.
