Daisy: How to Become the Duke’s Fiancée [Recommendation]

Daisy: How To Become The Duke’s Fiancée is technically not anything super special, but it has a certain charm. We all love revenge stories, after all.

Daisy: How To Become The Duke’s Fiancée Summary

Sweet, timid Daisy meets a tragic end after the man she loves betrays her. Life gives her a second chance at life, she’s vowing not to repeat the same mistakes of the past!

The only problem is that she needs to pay off her father’s gambling debt to Kilian, an aristocrat with a terrifying reputation.

One option will take her 60 years, and the other, just three… but it involves a contract marriage to Kilian, who must be three years married in order to inherit the title of duke.

While Daisy may have been swearing off men, the conditions of the offer are too good to pass up.

A generous amount of money at the end of the contract and a swift divorce, how can she decline?

Is she making a mistake by putting her trust in another man? Or will this deal give her the wings she needs to fly?

Daisy: How To Become The Duke's Fiancée [Recommendation]
Overall I’m enjoying this manhwa quite a lot, although it is suffering from some tropes and clichés.

First and foremost, we have the typical contractual marriage where no affection or love is being included. How many times haven’t we heard that and yet they fall in love quite quickly?

Our male lead isn’t openly professing his like or love for Daisy, but he shows it in a roundabout way. He’s investigating her visits and if she’s talking to a man. Normally this is quite strange and concerning behaviour, but I suppose he just want to know she’s not double-crossing him.

The three sisters are quite pitiful. The eldest, Rose, only have her good looks going for her. So when Daisy suddenly starts stealing her spotlight, she acts like a brat. She even goes so far she starts spreading false rumours about Daisy’s and Kilian’s relationship.

As for the youngest sister, she’s also going to grow up attractive but she’s mostly considered smart. Thankfully she’s not a brat and is clearly on the protagonist’s side.

Recommendation: I am enjoying this story, but saying it’s flawless is a lie. It’s really nothing anything super special in terms of the plot, but it’s still an enjoyable reading experience.
