Can We Become A Family? is a mixture between Solitary Lady, Just Leave Me Be and Shadow Queen. Not sure how I feel about this mashup.

Can We Become A Family? Summary
“Navia Agnes”, adopted to marry the Crown Prince on behalf of Duke Agnes’s daughter with a time limit.
“I really want to be family.” Navia, who held on to her family’s affection, did her best to become an Empress even while being abused. However, once Vivian, the Duke’s real daughter, is cured, she is abandoned by her family.
No, it would be right to say that she was abandoned on all occasions. “Just how much more effort do I have to make? If I want to be your family.” Navia took off her blood-soaked gloves.
Then on her right wrist, a number that couldn’t be seen by others appeared.
She calmly admitted, looking down on the number. “I’m going to stop playing with my family now.” At that moment, the number on her wrist changed.
Just like that, her life began again.
“If you messed with me, you’re gonna pay for it.” Will she be able to find a temporary family who will protect her until she becomes of age, and get revenge on Duke Agnes?MU
Like I mentioned previously, Can We Become A Family? features a lot of common tropes. It has a reincarnation theme, with the female lead losing her lives in order to satisfy her family.
This is something which we see in Solitary Lady, until she decides enough is enough.
We also have some aspects of Shadow Queen, since she’s taken in as a replacement of the duke’s original daughter. Even so, the female lead is also having some similarities with Just Leave Me Be’s female character.
Like the female lead in JLMB, our lead in this story is tormented by her adoptive brother.
Now, I don’t necessarily like or dislike the story based on the tropes, but it makes for an uninteresting story.
The way she’s going to use a teacher also reminds me of I Shall Master this Family, especially with the cure part.
I do like the art and the story, but I’m not sure it’s something I’m feeling like I want to continue reading. It’s not bad but it’s just too many hints and tropes from other great stories.
Although I don’t know when this story was created, it feels like the author took the best parts of other stories and mashed them up – wishing it was successful.
Even so, it’s not super unique or interesting. I’m not sure if it’s being implied the female lead was s*xually abused by the prince, but I did add a trigger warning anyway.
I’m going to assume she’s going to find a different family, but I’m not sure how or when that happens.
Final thoughts: Over all I feel quite meh about the story. It’s not bad or anything, just nothing unique or overly interesting.
