Beauty Of The Century: The Abandoned Imperial Consort isn’t that amazing, but at least the art is somewhat decent.

Summary of Beauty Of The Century: The Abandoned Imperial Consort from MU
That night, she lost her innocence and became a sorrowful existence in the depth of cold palace. She wished for an ordinary life but he wouldn’t let her go.
The story features a comic book layout unlike the long panels we usually see in manhwa. I’m not a huge fan of the layout, but it’s not that bad overall. Our story basically starts out with rape of a maid. Of course the prince is drunk and then he wants to find the woman he raped. The story continues onward and the woman is obviously feeling disgusted by what happened.
I think “The Prince Wants You” is a remake of this story or something, because it’s WAY too similar. Small things have changed, but it’s just too many coincidences.
Our maid also wants to leave the palace, just like the maid wants to in “The Prince Wants You”. After the rape, the prince wants to take the maid as his wife, but of course he can’t remember who he raped (these men, gosh). The maid even seems to have a crush on the crown prince, like in the previous manhua.
The chapters are relatively short with little content, which inevitably leaves us feeling like the chapters are “chopped up”. It’s not a natural flow in the story, which makes it feel worse than it is.
The prince also wants to check for a chastity mark on the arm, which is just confusing. What is the chastity mark? Did I miss something?
At least our main character is quite pretty with her huge blue eyes. Not that her personality is being shown a lot in the manhua so far, she’s more of a pushover.
Recommendation: I feel like the story isn’t that amazing. Since the stories are very similar to The Prince Wants You, I suppose you can read that instead if you prefer that art style. I’m going to be dropping this since it’s not my cup of tea.
