Another Typical Fantasy Romance is kind of right with the name, but it’s also really funny. It’s not a typical one, but it definitely borrows some tropes from the romance genre.

Another Typical Fantasy Romance Summary
After the gods dropped her in the world of her favorite fantasy romance novel, Lithera was quick to realize that happily-ever-afters were never easy to get.
Given another shot at happiness, she is now determined to avoid the mistakes of her previous life, starting by meeting the sweet and caring Grand Duke she spent years exchanging letters with…
Another typical female lead, with another typical Duke, promised to Wed. Will this story go the typical path we all expect?MU
Another Typical Fantasy Romance has the potential to be really confusing, but the creator manages to prevent it from being overtly so.
Instead, we have a female lead who has reincarnated multiple times. In her new life she decides to go with her gut and meet her long-time friend, instead of potentially dying as empress, like in the past.
However, the friend of hers isn’t quite like she imagined. Instead of a beautiful face, devoid of scarring and facial hair – she gets the opposite. Thankfully he’s not evil or cruel, and takes good care of her.
I must say I’m quite liking the male lead’s scruffiness. Having seen and read so many manhwa series, all the male leads tend to blend together. So he’s definitely a breath of fresh air into the scenes.
My biggest flaw with the manhwa is the art in general. I’m not super happy with how the female lead is drawn, but I’m not sure if it’s a stylistic choice or the artist lacking skills.
It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong. But I’m used to reading stories with a different character-portrayal.
I suppose you just have to get used to it, then it’s fine.
As for the story, it’s not unique per say. However, the comedic aspects and the way they take the honest route is refreshing. She ends up telling him everything he needs to know to agree with her. They’re both getting second chances at a life together.
From what I understand, she’s not IN LOVE with him, although she does love him dearly. It does seem like the male lead is falling for her, and hard. It’s honestly quite funny to see such a gruff man acting like a lovesick puppy in front of her.
I just love their fierce protectiveness of each other. They’re sort-of fine not acting out due to their own grief, but god help the ones who hurt their spouse!
Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a story where the female lead is aware of comic tropes, read this one! It’s a funny, cute, romantic and charming story.
