Like Wind on a Dry Branch by Dalsaeowl & Hwaeum.
Webtoon Synopsis: “As plague and turmoil afflicts the empire, enchanting widow Rieta Tristi finds herself at the mercy of a malicious nobleman and his dying wish to have her buried alive beside his corpse. Why we like it: The story is set in a dark universe where it’s not a guarantee to survive till you’re old. The poor suffer under the plague due to lack of blessings from the temple. Our main heroine manages to rise from the bottom and find her usefulness next to lord Axion. We enjoy a story not as flimsy with fantastical romance or happy endings. This story is dark, mysterious and keeps you on your toes.
Men of the Harem by Alphatart, Yeongbin
Synopsis: “Scorned by her lover and thrown into power after the mysterious assassination of her father, Latil must marry to secure her sovereignty of Tarium. Instead of choosing one man to become her Royal Consort, she chooses five young men from all walks of life to join her Harem. Will Latil ever solve her father’s murder, and can she keep the peace in her Harem?”

Why we like it: The story features character development where a naive female becomes a strong female lead not wanting to let her brother take over the throne. Using her charm and wits she manages to take over the throne and crown herself “emperor”.
Due to the political nature in the country she decides to take concubines, despite some initial opposition. Read our first impression here
The Newlywed Diary of a Witch and a Dragon by New Lung, Dimang, Bridal
“After spending the night with a recent hire of the Tower of Magic, Wendy Blanchett, a talented young leader of the Rune Research Division, is faced with an impossible dilemma. She fears for her position and reputation when the newbie, Aiden Winters, asks her to marry him. Unbeknownst to Wendy, Aiden seems to have secrets of his own. Will their love blossom, or will his secrets tear them apart?”

Why we like it: Another strong female character which knows what she wants, more or less. The male lead is also very adorable but with a darker side. There are some aspects I do not like of the story, mainly some manipulation being done by one of the characters. Yet I do enjoy the story and how our main female lead asserts herself.
Winter Woods by COSMOS, Van.J
“A few thousand years have passed since an alchemist created Winter. Winter begins living with Jane, a writer, in exchange for telling her his story. From their interactions, Winter begins to learn the meaning of being human, and without realizing it, Jane begins to see a man who has changed her life in more ways than she could imagine.”
Update: Completed, 1 episode per day via free pass

Why we like it: This comic reminds me of a mix between Frankenstein’s monster and the film “Warm Bodies”. The way Winter acts in regards to the world is very peculiar and his flashbacks makes you feel pity for him. There’s so many question signs in the early chapters we’re eagerly looking forward to more chapters. The art is also different from other comics while still maintaining a professional quality.
See You In My 19th Life by Lee Hey
“Jieum Ban has an extraordinary ability: she can remember the memories of all her past lives. After her previous life is cut short by a tragic accident, she sets out to reconnect with the people of her past life in her current one. Will memories of her 18th life sabotage romance in her 19th? Or will love endure across different lives?”

Why we like it: The way Jieum Bam goes through life is truly fascinating. Nothing seems to phase her in life, yet she gets attached to one person. This attachment leaves her to look him up and try her best to get close to him.
Now, how many times have you wanted to do something but felt like you can’t because you would embarrass yourself? It seems Jieum Bam doesn’t care at all and just does what’s needed to get through life and reach her goals. It’s very fun to watch and secondhand embarrassment is real.
