1 Plus 1 starts out with things going bump in the night. Don’t worry, though! It’s just the new neighbour who is causing ruckus for our female lead.

1 Plus 1 Summary
This romance starts with some bumps in the night, that turn into some truly irritating bumps in the day. Then it turn into Sung-eun literally bumping into the reason for all the noise. Ready? It’s her handsome and charming neighbor, Eun-sung.
She quickly finds out that the private student representative has a somewhat questionable reputation. However, that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t do her duty as the kind neighbor. I mean, they are literal neighbors, after all.
She hides her true feelings to him, and the two grow close. It’s not long before Sung-eun has to wonder if maybe Eun-sung…is also hiding something from her?
The story starts out cutely enough, with the female lead Sung-eun struggling with her neighbour making too many sounds in the night.
She’s too scared to adress them right away, so she’s writing a note and sticking on their door.
Eventually the sounds do quiet down, but not because her neighbour saw the note. No, instead the note flew off when he opens the door and it of course ends up in front of Sung-eun.
The two meet up at their school by accident and she complains about someone making sounds in the middle of the night. He’s sympathetic towards her, not knowing it’s him whose making those annoying sounds.
Short story even shorter, they end up realising they live close to each other and awkwardness ensues. It’s clear there’s something going on between them eventually, but I doubt they’ll confess to having feelings for each other any time soon.
During one of their meetings alongside others, they’re doing a drinking game where Eun-sung ends up confessing to liking someone in the school.
He even holds his hand over hers for awhile, so if that’s not a hint I’m not sure what is.
In the end, she finds out he’s scared of dogs and we see flashbacks to abuse in the past. No wonder he dislikes dogs if that happened to him! He’s able to help out a dog shelter anyway, but it was barely possible!
The story’s art is pretty decent and I have nothing to complain about, really. It’s nothing too awesome but it’s hardly bad.
Recommendation: Cute story which may be worth to check out. Seems like a more mature setting for romance.
